It is nearing the end of October 2022 and I am collaborating with artist Bibo Keeley. This project is our response to disconcerting times which has elements of puppetry, sculpture and film funded by Creative Scotland and Aberdeen City Council. Our intended outcome will be an exhbition as part of the Northeast Climate festival. This builds on our first collaboration after we received a Jerwood 1:1 fund in 2021 which ended in April 2022. The outcome was a short film we made entitled 'The Crow Knows', intersecting our practices of puppetry performance art, sculpture and film. The link to this is https://youtu.be/KwIxNcc1C
In September I enjoyed welcoming the public to Northeast Open Studios at Langstane where I had the film showing. I introduced some of the different types of puppets I'd been making. These included Max, a life size rod puppet,a glove puppets and string puppets.
